Parents as Teachers Program is a national as well as international early childhood parenting education and family support program. This program provides parents with age-appropriate child development information for children prenatal to three years of age. These activities include parent-child activities that encourage language, intellectual, motor and social-emotional growth. The parents are the child’s first and most influential teacher, which takes place at a time when the brain develops the most.

Certified Parent Educators are trained to provide such services as personal visits, group meetings, developmental screenings and community resource network. They are trained to work within the value system of the family and encourage parents to build on the family’s strengths.

PAT gladly accepts and appreciates volunteers and donations of diapers/pull-ups, formula, infant and toddler car seats, etc., which are needed to assist our program and families.
