Eleanor Pearl and Colby Charnin will present a recital of opera and religious music at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 4200 Old Warren Road. A native of Pine Bluff, Pearl is the daughter of Kathy Majewska and Jack Stradley.

“Coming from a family of talented artists, Eleanor has trained in New York, graduating from Manhattan School of Music, where she perfected her amazing soprano voice, while obtaining both a bachelor and master’s degree in vocal music. She will be accompanied by her fiance’, accomplished pianist and composer, Colby Charnin, of Miami, Florida, and New York City,” a news release said.

Colby also graduated from Manhattan School of Music with both a bachelor and master’s degree in piano. He has performed recitals as a soloist and a chamber musician in the U.S. and Europe.

“He is one of the most sought after piano teachers in New York City,” the news release said.

Preceding the performance at 6 p.m., the church will host an ice cream social. The community is invited to come to this evening of Ice Cream and Opera. There is no charge for the event, but, a free will donation would be appreciated.
