The fall 2017 session of Shepherd’s Center of Pine Bluff Classes have been scheduled.
The one time registration fee is $10. Classes are Wednesdays, Sept. 6 through Oct. 25, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Lakeside United Methodist Church, 15th Avenue and Olive Street.
“It is that time of year again. Time to add a new interest/hobby to your life? Meet new friends and enjoy fellowship with old friends. A great way to spend a morning while learning something new, or enhancing your talents and skills,” a spokeswoman said in a news release.
The Computer Course – Phil McBee, Instructor, will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursdays instead of Wednesdays at the Arkansas River Education Service Cooperative at Sixth Avenue and Poplar Street.
Wednesday courses and instructors will include:
Beginning Genealogy — John Mitchell, instructor; Line Dancing – Mona Rhoden, instructor; Knitting — Barbara Fry and others instructing; Crochet — Barbara Lambert instructing; Canasta – Nancy Paschal will teach this relaxing card game.
Photography – A favorite class with Mike Adam teaching portrait, landscaping, digital and other elements.
Bible class — The Rev. Steve Wingo teaches this class from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Bird Watching – Delos McCauley, Instructor. Enjoy nature and learn with experts from the Audubon Society.
Games — Play Bridge, Mahjong, and Board Games.
“Learn to Speak Spanish”— will be held Sept. 13 and Oct. 11.
Learn to Play Bridge — taught by expert Sam Cheeseman.
Art Workshop – The local Art Guild members will instruct participants in watercolor, acrylic and others. Instructors are Glenda Mullikin, Pam Wooley, Gerry Delongchamp, Pat Sheffield and Margie Spharler.
“This and That” Classes are different sessions offered each Wednesday. Some classes may require a small fee for supplies. These include cooking classes, crafts, cell phone and Ageless Grace exercise with Teresa Horton and other classes, including nature center instructors.
