WARREN - Delbert Lennis Calvert, age 91, of Warren, Ark., died Saturday, August 19, at Hospice Homecare in Little Rock, Ark. Born June 5, 1926, in Warren, Ark., a son of the late Louie Calvert and Lela Amelia Gossien Calvert he was retired from Ford Manufacturing Co., member of Latter Day Saint Church, a World War II Army veteran, and the widower of Lois L. Calvert who died November 16, 2008. They were united in marriage June 7, 1949. Also preceding him in death were brothers Pershing Edward Calvert, Harrell Calvert; sisters Sibyl Haynes, Meta Mills and Jean Briant.
Survivors are two sons Steven Calvert of Portland, Tenn., and Randy Calvert of Sheridan, Ark. Two daughters Lisa Himes of Phoenix, Ore., and Susan Moak of White Hall, Ark. One brother Howard Calvert of Warren, Ark. One sister Jerry Neely of Herbine, Ark. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 23, at Frazer’s Chapel. Burial is in Garrison Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 22, at Frazer’s. Online guest register www.frazerfuneralhome.com
TRUCKSVILLE - Robert Trucks, age 75, of the Trucksville community near Rison, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 20, 2017 at his home.
Mr. Trucks was born February 26, 1942 in Rison, Ark., to the late A.E. and Charlotte Blackstock Trucks. He was owner of Trucks & Sons and a life-long member of Rison Baptist Church. Robert was a devoted father and a dear friend to all. In addition to his parents, Mr. Trucks was preceded in death by his wife of forty-nine years, Barbara Glover Trucks; two brothers, John Edward Trucks, James David Trucks and one brother-in-law, Mack Hudson.
He is survived by two sons, Bryan Trucks and wife, Tonya of Bentonville, Chris Trucks of Trucksville; one daughter, Christie Walls and husband, Jimmy of White Hall; six grandchildren, Abbie Walls, Nicholas Trucks, Clark Trucks, Maddison Trucks, Justin Trucks and Jared Trucks.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Rison Baptist Church in Rison with Brother Danny Allen and Brother Wade Totty officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Trucksville. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8 p.m., Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the church. Pallbearers are Buddy Boldon, Cleve Reed, Vernon Dollar, Lamar Jennings, Tommy Butcher and Ricky Fore.
