Human skeletal remains found in a field Sept. 27 in the 2200 block of West 30th Ave. have been identified as those of 39-year-old William Hopson, according to the Pine Bluff Police Department. In a news release, police said the Arkansas State Crime Lab notified them once positive identification was made.

Hopson was last seen in the area of 28th and Camden Road on March 15. The identification was made by clothing, articles found with the remains and by comparing surgical implants against the medical records of Hopson. There were no signs of trauma on the remains, and the cause of death has been listed by the crime lab as undetermined.
