The Pine Bluff High School Career Coach Program will sponsor the American College Application Campaign events Monday through Thursday, Oct. 16-19.

Launched by the American Council on Education, the campaign is a national effort to increase the number of first-generation and low-income students who attend college. The goal is to help seniors navigate the college admissions process and ensure that each participating student submits at least one admissions application.

PBHS events will include:

College Fun Monday, Oct. 16 — Representatives of colleges and universities will be on campus. Every senior may apply for a college through their English class. Teachers and students may decorate their classroom door with college material and a college pep rally will be held during lunch with special guests.

Money Tuesday, Oct. 17 — An important financial aid and scholarship workshop will be held in the media center at 5 p.m. and parents and students are encouraged to attend, according to a news release. Seniors will receive free “Arkansas College Application” T-shirts through their English classes. Refreshments will be served.
