The Progressive Women’s Association is planning its annual fall scholarship auction, according to Bernice Foster and Jan Adam, auction committee co-chairwomen. The event will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, at the White Hall City Hall.

The auction helps fund scholarships to a number of women in the Pine Bluff/White Hall area. Tracy Robinson will be the auctioneer. Every member brought an item to the Progressive Women’s Association meeting for the auction.

In other business at the meeting, Dottie Yarbrough, community service chairwoman, thanked everyone who brought items or monetary donations last month for missionaries to take with them to Haiti. She said that the donations were very much appreciated.

The dollar pot was won by Debra Prescott, guest of member Margaret Beasley. The door prize was won by Alice Erwin. The birthday gifts were won by Della Lovorn and Jean Upshaw.
