The Pine Bluff High School Class of 1960 will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at Wright’s Ranch House Restaurant, 6224 Dollarway Road.


Everyone is asked to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to Neighbor-to-Neighbor for a Thanksgiving basket. All classmates and members from other classes are encouraged to attend the fellowship.


At the October meeting, Arlie Langrell opened the meeting by blessing the food and fellowship. Norma Ridgway Ray read an article to the group by Allen Webster. He wrote about the five verses of “Jesus Loves Me, This I Know,” a poem written by Anna Warner, according to a news release.


He stated that a preacher had said “Everything I ever needed to know about religion he learned from that poem.” Included in the poem are the following facts about Jesus’ love: Verse — 1 Divine Love, Revelation, and Human Need; V2 – The Incarnation and Crucifixion; V3 — Salvation and Hope; V4 — Assurance and Comfort;’ V5 — The Christian Life.


Classmates and spouses attending the meeting were Jerry and Ruby Wessels Poteet, Arlie and Barbara Rogers Langrell, Bill and Norma Ray, Marie Brown Jones, Dee Wallace Bradley and Robert and Lenora Porter.
