The first frigid air of the season has arrived in Southeast Arkansas. According to the National Weather Service, a strong cold front moved through the area on Friday, and temperatures are expected to drop into the low 30s Saturday night.

The low Saturday is forecast at 33 degrees, according to the NWS.

Outdoor pets and sensitive vegetation are at risk and should be protected.

Temperatures will rise during the week ahead, with middle 60s during the day and low 40s at night expected. A chance of rain returns on Tuesday.
