The Pine Bluff Zebras took care of business Friday night after earning a huge conference win over the West Memphis Blue Devils 33-7.

West Memphis came into the game undefeated and tied with Pine Bluff for first place in the 6A east. On the first drive of the game, the Zebras carried the ball all the way down the 1-yard line, and Kylen Williams punched in it the endzone to put the Zebras ahead 7-0.

Later in the first quarter, Braylon Moody handed the ball to Jyrimee Thompson on a reverse before Thompson connected with Diaundre Ellison for a 33-yard touchdown pass. West Memphis would retaliate with a one-yard touchdown run, but that would be their only score of the game. Tyler Foots hit Ellison for a 19-yard touchdown pass to put the Zebras ahead 20-7 before halftime.

With little time left in the third quarter, Braylon Moody ran the ball in from four yards out for another Pine Bluff score. Foots rushed for a one-yard touchdown for the final score of the game for the Zebras to win 33-7.

Foots was 6 of 11 passing with 102 yards and a touchdown. Braylon Moody rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown and Foots also rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown.

Ellison had four receptions for 78 yards and two touchdowns, and Thompson had three receptions for 57 yards. Defensively, Isiah Singleton finished with 11 tackles. Martavius Thompson and Isiah Mays both contributed with 5.5 tackles apiece.

With a victory next week on the road against Jacksonville, the Zebras will claim the 6A east conference title and the number one seed in the 6A state playoffs.
