Girl Scouts from across the state are invited to attend the Girl Scouts – Diamonds signature Girl Fest event. This session will be held at Fayetteville High School from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2.


Girls will experience and explore the world of science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM), through a activities and workshops. For girls traveling long distances to attend the event, there will be a sleep-over style overnight option Friday night that includes rock climbing and astronomy.


Hands-on workshops and interactive booth activities led by women in STEAM careers will give girls a glimpse into several different professional fields. Activities will also include 3D printing, virtual reality and design, coding, wildlife, engineering, robotics, geology and more.


Girls will have the option to attend a workshop each hour and visit the expo hall which will feature booths hosted by University of Arkansas departments, community organizations and local businesses to teach girls about STEAM.


Local businesses and organizations have partnered with Girl Scouts – Diamonds to present this one-of-a-kind event. Girls are invited to register for this event by Sunday, Nov. 19. The cost is $20 for Saturday only and an additional $10 for the overnight option.
