A Taste of Trinity will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at Trinity Episcopal Church at 703 W. Third Ave. The annual fund-raiser is sponsored by the Episcopal Church Women. Proceeds will be used to support church-related projects, as well as community outreach.
Jane Bettison, casserole chairwoman, said that green gumbo soup will once again be for sale, along with other items. The bake sale will offer the traditional pies, cakes and cookies, along with a variety of homemade goods.
Items for sale in the treasures room will include crystal, china, brass, jewelry and silver.
Pasta With a Purpose will be the theme for the luncheon, which will be served between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., according to Carol Davis, chairwoman of the kitchen crew. The menu will be Italian chicken spaghetti, salad, French bread, Italian crème cake, coffee and tea.
Carryout lunches will be available between noon and 1:30 p.m.
Luncheon tickets are $10 each and may be purchased in advance at the church office by calling 534-3832. A limited number of luncheon tickets will be available at the door.
Raffle tickets are available for $1 each for a hand-thrown platter from Miller’s Mud in Dumas, according to Connie Stayton, general chairwoman of the event.
Other committee chairmen are Gina DeMoss, greeters; Julie Bridgforth, servers; Judy Apel, prize winner; and Katherine Davis, luncheon ticket taker.
