The Youth Advisory Council of the Pine Bluff Area Community Foundation will meet from 4-5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, at the CASA Women’s Shelter.

Kevin Crumpton, YAC president, will welcome students and parents to the meeting. Karen Palmer, executive director of CASA, will greet students and give them a tour of the facility. She will also present a list of supplies needed at the facility that YACs will deliver during the Christmas holiday.

After the CASA tour, Glenn Freeman will present a Grant Making Workshop for YAC students. Freeman serves on the Southeast Arkansas Community Foundation Board and the Omega’s of Pine Bluff Board. He volunteers his time and work with Pine Bluff YACs to help raise money for their own charitable endowment. The proceeds are used to make grants to local nonprofit organizations that serve children and youth in the community.

Students in eighth-12th grades throughout Jefferson County who are interested in philanthropy and community service may join YAC.
