Faith Ohanta finished with a game-high 30 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as her Lady Lions defeated the Lady Panthers at H.O. Clemmons Arena.

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff forward only missed a total of five shots all night as she shot 8-for-11 from the field and nailed 13-of-15 free throws in the victory while teammate Shawntayla Harris also finished with a double-double as she scored 14 points and 12 rebounds. Philander Smith took a 16-15 lead on the road at the end of the first quarter, but UAPB answered back with a strong 22-point outing in the second quarter as it enjoyed a 37-32 halftime lead.

The third quarter was more of the same as the Lady Lions clamped down on Philander Smith College, holding it to just 11 points in the third quarter. However, the Lady Panthers caught fire and went on a 17-5 run in just over two minutes and scored a total of 30 fourth quarter points behind feisty point guard Terralynn Dominick, who finished with 27 points and hit four three-pointers before getting injured in the final quarter.

Dominick finished with a game-high eight steals in the loss and dished out six assists for Philander.

As a team the Lady Lions made 34-of-45 free throws while Philander Smith scored 22-of-26 from the charity stripe. UAPB out-rebounded PSC 52-46. Point guard Destiny Brewton nearly finished with a double-double, dishing out nine assists and scoring 10 points while Malaik Muhammad chipped in with 10 points for the Lady Lions. UAPB returns to action on Sunday, November 19 as it travels to Texas to face Texas Tech University. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. at United Spirit Arena.
