WARREN - Sandra West Johnson age 81 of Warren, Ark. died Monday November 20th, at the Bradley County Medical Center. She was born November 1, 1936 in Bradley County, Ark. a daughter of the late Vernon West and Thelma Clary West. Sandra retired from the Warren Public School System as a nurse’s aid with 14 years of service, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church, serving in the Nettie Moseley Sunday School Class. Sandra loved being a housewife and homemaker, she loved their restaurant, Earnie’s Steak and Ribs where she enjoyed making pie’s and sharing them with her family and friends. Most of all, Sandra enjoyed singing around the house while taking care of and loving her family. She was also preceded in death by brothers Wayne West, Jackie West and Jimmy West and a sister Linda West Harton Thompson.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Earnest Merl Johnson, whom she married November 26th, 1955 and spanned almost 62 years of marriage. A son Toney Johnson and spouse Deborah, Scott, Ark. 3 daughters Teresa Brewster and spouse Shelby, Warren, Ark.; Karen Richardson and spouse Scott, Warren, Ark. and Rhonda Merl Sizemore and spouse Harvey, Corner Stone, Ark. A sister DeRay McClain and spouse Mac, Warren, Ark. 7 grandchildren Shelly Ashley and spouse Jett, Scott Allison Johnson and spouse Justin, Robert Austin Richardson and spouse Ashley, Krista Thornton and spouse Jeremy, Toni Elizabeth Johnson, Winston Sizemore and spouse Mary Allison, Bryant Sizemore and spouse Claire. 7 great-grandchildren.

Waylon Conner

STAR CITY - Waylon Conner, 74 of Star City died Sunday at his home. He was born December 25, 1942 in Wilmar to the late Sammie A. and Helen Saffold Conner. He was a member of the Lincoln County Cattleman’s Association and was a telephone service technician for many years.

Survivors include a son, Paul Waylon (Donna) Conner of Star City; daughter, Rebecca Ann (Richard) Rauls of White Hall; 2 sisters, Lela (Sid) Conner Owen of Star City and Peggy Conner Armstrong of Anderson, S.C.; 3 grandchildren, Skye Rauls, Ty Waylon Conner and Kaylon (Gary) Brigham; and 3 great-grandchildren, Hunter, Kaidyn and Sophia.

Graveside services are 10 AM Wednesday at Hickory Grove Cemetery near Star City with Bro. Tom Abney officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
