The Family Community Development Corp. will present its sixth annual Holiday Board Banquet at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16.

The celebration will be held at the family life center of Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 2101 W. Reeker St. State Rep. Vivian Flowers of Pine Bluff will give the keynote address.

“This event celebrates the illustrious history of our organization and raises funds to support youth and family programs that target residents of the University Park neighborhood, Pine Bluff and Jefferson County, AR,” a spokesman said in the news release.

“During the banquet, we will honor seven individuals as the Family Community Development Corporation’s Outstanding Citizens of 2017,” the spokesman said. “This year’s honorees have given their time, talent and treasure to support FCDC and the Pine Bluff community over the last four decades.”

Honorees include Pine Bluff Police Chief Ivan Whitfield, Pine Bluff Fire Chief Shauwn Howell, the Rev. Gary Bell, the Rev. Lafayette Woods Sr., the Rev. Henry “Hank” Wilkins IV, Greg Gustek and Larry Matthews.
