Gene Ellis McKissic, Jr., 38, of Pine Bluff passed November 26, 2017. Born January 8, 1979 in Pine Bluff to Gene E. and Gloria McKissic.

Survivors include his daughters: Sage Broadway, Ginger Broadway, and step-daughter Zsada Antoine; brothers: Graham McKissic of Nashville, Tenn. and Geoffrey McKissic of Houston, Texas; sister, Grace Coleman of Manhattan, Kan.; and his parents, Gene and Gloria McKissic of Pine Bluff.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at New Fellowship Baptist Church by Rev. Jackie Harris. Burial will be in PK Miller cemetery by Henson- Holcomb Mortuary.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5 - 7 p.m. at the mortuary.

The body will lie in state at the church from 12 noon until funeral time.

Randal Forte

Mr. Randal Craig Forte, 61 of Pine Bluff, Ark. passed Wednesday, November 22, 2017. He was born in Tuskegee, Ala. to the late Augusta Forte, Sr. and Mildred Bryant Forte.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his brother, Rodney L. Forte of Southlake, Texas.

Funeral Services will be Friday, December 1, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Baptist Church by Rev Dwight McKissic. Interment will be in Forrest Lawn Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff, Ark.

Bette Taylor

Bette Jane Taylor, 95, of Pine Bluff, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at her home.

Mrs. Taylor was born October 27, 1922, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Homer and Lloyd Wolff Taylor. She was reared and received her education in Memphis, where she graduated from Memphis Technical High School in 1940. She was asked to join the United States Air Force Civil Air Patrol Auxiliary, holding various positions including being one of the only two female commanders in Tennessee.

She was a secretary most of her life, working for many churches and retiring from Lindenwood Christian Church in Memphis in 1989.

She attended Grace Episcopal Church in Pine Bluff. She was also a member of the American Business Women’s Association and the Watson Chapel Homemaker’s Extension Club.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her daughter-in-law, Jo Ann Taylor of Pine Bluff; grandchildren, Sherri Fry of Texas, Jessica Heflin of Pine Bluff, Linde Taylor of Little Rock, and Jeremy Yarbrough of North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Ethan Graves, Elizabeth Fry, Taylor James, and Landyn Graves.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank Taylor, son, Bruce Taylor, and sister, Mary Frances Sellers.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 1, 2017, 5 - 7 PM, at Robinson’s.

Graveside services will be Saturday, December 2, 2017, 11 AM, at Brown Cemetery with Reverend Steve Monk officiating by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.

Brother Eddie J. Singleton was born February 7, 1947 to the late Marshall Singleton and Myrtle Jones Singleton.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Ruby "Jill" Jackson Singleton; sons, Eddie Singleton, Jr. and Eric Singleton; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Allen Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Reverend Daniel W. Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Forrest Lawn Cemetery by the P.K. Miller Mortuary. Visitation will be held at the mortuary from 5 - 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017. Mr. Singleton will lie in repose at church on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
