The Pine Bluff Regional Chamber of Commerce will feature Rex Nelson as the keynote speaker for the Chamber’s 2018 annual meeting.


The annual dinner will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, at the Pine Bluff Country Club.


Nelson is senior editor of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, where he writes three columns a week and essays for the cover of the newspaper’s Sunday Perspective section, according to a news release.


“Rex Nelson is known as one of the most high-profile writers and speakers in the state,” according to the release. “He’s the author of three books: the first full-length biography of Hillary Rodham Clinton, a biography of Arkansas educator Ben Elrod and a collection of his essays on Arkansas. He’s also the author of a popular blog known as Rex Nelson’s Southern Fried and makes regular television and radio appearances.”


Tickets for the Chamber’s annual dinner are $60 per person. Tables are $600 and seats eight.
