The Delta Network Food Bank and the Hosanna Christian Church of Pine Bluff will give away food, clothes and household items to low-income families during the Helping Hands Event.

The annual event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, at the Pine Bluff Convention Center on Concourse D. All children must be present to receive toys.

A special program will be presented by the John Kelley Edwards Kidz Crusade Ministry under the leadership of Bishop Chester Thompson. Thompson is the pastor of Zion Hill Baptist Church at Camden and is the Presiding Prelate of the Agape Fellowship, according to a news release.

“We are especially appealing to the public for donations of non-perishable food, new and slightly used clothing and shoes, especially coats, caps and gloves, toys, household items as well as financial donations,” according to the release.

Donations can be dropped off at the convention center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22. Donors may make checks payable to Delta Network Inc. and mail them to P.O. Box 20278, White Hall, AR, 71612, or call the network for pick up. The Delta Network Inc. is a 501c-3 tax-exempt organization. Therefore, all donations are tax deductible.
