Arkansans are invited to attend the Inaugural MLK Holiday Exclusive Jan. 9-15. The year 2018 also marks 50 years after King’s assassination and the first time Arkansas will join the majority of the nation by honoring the Civil Rights legend exclusively on the federal holiday named for him, according to a news release.

“The public is invited to join us at the press conference and stand with Arkansas’ leaders as we announce and engage activities of the coalition which includes the release of the MLK Bible, the theme, keynote speakers and plans detailing how Arkansas will lead from the Delta to DC during this historic moment in our state and nation,” according to the release.
