On Thursday, Dec. 21, caroling will take place in four different locations in Pine Bluff, according to a press release.

The Pine Bluff Faith Community Coalition Ministerial Alliance (PBFCC) ask Christians to join with them and others to sing songs only about Jesus at the fifth annual “Take Back CHRISTmas” Caroling Project in Pine Bluff.

“No Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer or Chestnuts Songs, its all about Jesus” says, Jerry W. Williams, Sr., Pastor at Prayer Garden COGIC and member of the alliance.

“Jesus is the reason for this Christmas season. Christmas is literally the 'Christ Mass' in which the world celebrates the birth of the risen Savior. Why are we singing? Because of the joy, hope, and peace we have in God sending His Son Jesus as a human being, born of the Virgin Mary, to be the Savior of the world. God loved us so much He provided the way to spend eternity with Him - Jesus. Christmas has become so commercialized that it seems Jesus’ birth has been forgotten, trivialized, or ignored. Our goal is for Christians from all churches to gather and sing about the true meaning of Christmas - Christ,” says Stephen Harrison, Pastor of Family Church and Vice President of the alliance.

Locations for caroling include three Super 1 Grocery Stores locations are Hazel Street at 28th Avenue, Dollarway Road, and East Harding Avenue and Walmart Super Center 5501 S. Olive St.

FCC encourages everyone to wear something red; a red coat or hat, scarf, gloves or just carry a red bag or a lighted a candle and join other Christians as we spread Christmas Cheer, the press release said. Carolers can choose a location closest to them and meet at 5:15 p.m., to receive music, caroling begins at 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. FCC is providing the list of Christmas Carols.
