PBICVR Original KingFest, an anchor partner with the Arkansas MLK50 Faith-based Commemoration Coalition, announces Governor Asa Hutchinson will serve as keynote speaker from the steps of the Arkansas State Capitol on Monday, Jan. 15, 2018. He will be joined by Ronnie Floyd, senior pastor at Cross Church in Rogers and president of the National Day of Prayer Task Force, USA.
Arkansas is preparing to observe the MLK Day of Service as an exclusive commemoration honoring the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
During Justice Sunday in Little Rock on Jan. 14, 2018, three Pine Bluff pastors will be recognized for their spiritual leadership and service. They are: Pastor Saint DeWitt Hill, Jr., (Trinity COGIC), Pastor Lacy K. Solomon (Ret. Indiana Street MBC) and Pastor Walter C. May, Sr. (Kings Highway MBC).
They will be honored during the Justice Sunday Inaugural MLK Holiday Exclusive Gala to be held at 4:30 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn.
C. Dennis Edwards, president of the Consolidated Missionary Baptist State Convention of Arkansas, Inc., will deliver the keynote message. Hutchinson has proclaimed Jan. 14, 2018 as Justice Sunday across Arkansas which honors Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as a clergy and drum major for justice.
