Davis Life Care Center West hosted a visit with Santa Claus Dec. 21. Loyell “Red” Odom, a resident at The Gardens at Whispering Knolls Assistant Living Facility, dressed up as Santa for the residents at Davis West and presented gifts, along with Connie Collins, the activities assistant.
“The residents were very excited,” Stacey Williams, activities coordinator, said in a news release. “As Santa came in the door, we were singing, ‘Here comes Santa Claus.’ He came in waving and dancing for the residents as well as the children that stopped by to visit family.”
Youth from Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church and other members also came to sing for the residents. The kids also helped Santa pass out the gifts as he read the names off.
“Davis west would like to thank everyone for coming out to help make our residents have another blessed Christmas. A special thanks go out to Mr. and Mrs. (Cleovis) Whiteside for always bringing the kids out for these past seven years that I have been activities coordinator,” Williams said. “They are such sweethearts and I really appreciate them.”
