Ms. Leashurn Pretice Williams, 44, of Pine Bluff, Ark. passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. She was botn on Sunday, October 7, 1973 in Little Rock, Ark. to the late Link Williams, Sr. and Luvenia Allen Williams.
Leashurn graduated from Watson Chapel High School in 1992. She was a member of Shady Grove Church in Tarry, Ark. She was a Classified Sales Representative for the Pine Bluff Commercial for several years.
She was a nurturer who raised may children outside of her own. She was a loving and devoted mother, sister, mother, God-Mother, aunt and dear friend to many. Leashurn has definitely left her legacy of her smile, laughter and love to all she has met.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; Sister, Gwendolyn Tyler; Brothers, Lacy Williams, LaRhon Williams, James Ranson, Michael Tyler and Ray Tyler, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Kristopher Lowe of Warren, Ark.; one daughter, Kyndia Bradley of Pine Bluff, Ark.; two brothers, Larry Tyler, Sr. of Lithonia, Ga. and Alvin Tyler of West Memphis, Ark.; two sisters, Lyndia Williams-Hardin of Pine Bluff, Ark. and Pernia Irby of Tarry, Ark.; Step-Father, R.S. Mays of Pine Bluff, Ark; a nephew/son, Kevin Rauls and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:30 A.M., Friday, January 12, 2018 at New Birth Baptist Church by Rev. Christopher Briggs, Sr. Interment will be in Forrest Lawn Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff, Ark.
Visitation will be 5-6:30 p.m., Thursday at Brown Funeral Home.
Gail Perry, 86, went home to be with Jesus on December 22, 2017. She joins her beloved husband, Jack, parents Paul and Joyce Cameron Orton, and brother Paul Orton. She leaves behind her daughter Jana Stober (Gregg), sons Bryan (Karen) Perry and Brett (Valerie) Perry, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Born as Kathryn Gail Orton in Fort Smith on December 3, 1931, she spent most of her childhood in Little Rock, meeting Jack in the eighth grade. They graduated from Little Rock Central High in 1949 and Gail went on to nursing school at Arkansas Baptist Hospital, graduating in 1952. She and Jack married in 1953 and moved to Pine Bluff with their young family when Jack finished medical school and his residency. They remained in Pine Bluff until 2011, moving to Missouri to be near their daughter.
Gail always put the Lord and her family first and was a loved and faithful friend. She was active for over 50 years in her church, and taught preschoolers in Sunday School for over 20 years. She was active in the State Medical Auxiliary and after raising her children worked with Jack in his practice. She was an avid reader, accomplished pianist and loved to travel. She also enjoyed her volunteer work with the Hope Women’s Resource Center in Pine Bluff and its mission was dear to her heart.
Visitation, Friday, 1/12/2018, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Ralph Robinson & Son. Graveside, Saturday, 1/13/2018, 10:00 a.m. in Graceland Cemetery. Service, Saturday, 11:00 a.m., First Baptist Church, Pine Bluff. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to First Baptist Church-Pine Bluff, Hope Women’s Center or Buckner International in Dallas, Texas.

Louie A. Galloway, III, 81, passed away December 29, 2017.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 59 years, Harriett; daughter Vickie and husband Russell Burnett; sons: Louie IV and Mack; grandchildren: Stephen Burnett, Jeannie Burnett, Louie Galloway V, Courtney Galloway, and Erin Galloway. He is also survived by his sister Lynn Smith and niece Charlotte Smith; cousins: Harold Ed Mitchell and wife Renee, and Carrie June Harper.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 13, 2018 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Brother Harold Ed Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery.

STAR CITY - Shelby Jean Moore, 80 of Star City passed away Tuesday, January 9th at Lincoln Heights Healthcare. She was born June 27, 1937 in Goldsboro, North Carolina to the late, Retired Col. Raymond I and Mary Fields Johnson. She was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church and Eastern Star. She graduated from high school in Bermuda and retired after 48 years as Star City Schools Food Service Director.
Preceding her in death are her daughter, Mary Moore Yarbrough and Grand Daughter, Marla Rae Yarbrough.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Harold B. Moore; son, Raymond (Tamie) Moore of Prescott; four grandchildren, Dustin (Crystal) Moore, Jacqulyn (Jason) Hoyt, Nicholas Yarbrough and Grayson (David) Shelby and six great grandchildren, Jaxon and Jaci Hoyt, Caden Moore, Hunter and Molly Shelby and Lynley Yarbrough all of Star City.
Funeral services are 2:00PM Thursday at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. John Marlar officiating. Visitation is 12:30-2:00PM Thursday at the church. Burial at Palmyra Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Robert Floyd, Robert Wilson Floyd, Keith Thomas, Leroy McBryde, Michael Baggett, Charlie Baggett, Max Reed and Jackie Greenham. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Haley, Dalton Zachary and James Myrick. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mary Yarbrough Scholarship Fund at the Bank of Star City.

RISON - Vivian J. Green Taylor, 85, of Rison, died January 9, 2018. Mrs. Taylor was born January 30, 1932 in Rison, Arkansas, to the late Lewis J. and Minnie Williams Green. Otis was preceded in transition by his father, Otis Perry Sr. and mother, Georgetta Trent, siblings, Jackie, Charles, and Harold.
He is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Lavern Perry of Pine-Bluff Arkansas. Two brothers, Oliver Perry (Shirlean) of Little Rock Arkansas and Athel Paschal of Los Angeles, California, two sisters, Bessie Johnson (Charlie) of San Diego, California, and Joyce Redgal. Three sons, Malcom Perry (Lynelle) of Atlanta, GA, Otis Perry III (Melanie) of Glendale, California, and Rhansa Lewis- Perry, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Three daughters, Danielle Perry of Los Angeles, California. Alicia Lewis-Perry of Palm Springs, California and April Perry of Long Beach, California.
