Authorities in Louisville, Kentucky, Tuesday arrested 18-year-old Alexis Reed on an outstanding warrant for murder stemming from the shooting death of 18-year-old Jerry Pryor on Aug. 9, 2017, outside the Merrill Community Center in Pine Bluff, according to the Pine Bluff Police Department.

Reed was identified by multiple witnesses as the person responsible for the killing, the PBPD said in a news release.

The shooting, which happened just before 2 p.m., a time when numerous children are present at the center during the summer months, was preceded by an argument between Reed and Pryor, police said.

The nature of the argument is unknown. No one else at the center was injured during the incident. Both Reed and Pryor were well known at the center and had never created problems before the incident in which Pryor was killed, officials said.

Reed is being held in Kentucky pending an extradition to Arkansas. No details regarding the circumstances of her arrest are available at this time.

“The police department would like to thank everyone who contacted us with information regarding Reed during this investigation,” the news release said.
