The Arkansas Department of Health regulates the sale of food at establishments which include restaurants, bars, daycares, schools, grocery stores, convenience stores, bed and breakfast facilities, hotels/motels, mobile units and concession stands. Inspections are made unannounced by environmental health specialists.

The following are the results of food safety inspections conducted by the Jefferson County Health Unit:

• Chicken City, 7197 Sheridan Road, Suite 112, White Hall. Jan. 10. Frozen chicken observed being stored open in freezer. Food should stay covered to prevent contamination. Frozen chicken was covered during inspection.

• Sinan LLC, 2317 W. 28th Ave. Date of inspection Jan. 11. Ice in ice machine is not covered. Ice should remained covered to protect it from contamination.

• Hamilton’s BBQ & Catering, 2310 Jamestown Drive, White Hall. Date of inspection Jan. 10. Paper towels needed at hand-washing sink in mobile. Soap needed at hand-washing sink in mobile.
