David Roy Stokes, 82 of Pine Bluff, passed away, Tuesday, January 23, 2018.
Born October 20, 1935 at Kosciusko, Mississippi,
he was a son of the late Leroy Stokes and Laura Mae McBride Stokes.
Mr. Stokes was reared and educated in Dollarway before joining the United States Air Force.
He worked and retired from Stant after several years of service, but music was his life. While he could get a tune out of most anything, he was known as a guitar player and played with various musicians and groups over the years. He and his wife performed regularly on KADL radio.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 30 years, Betty Sue Ratliff James Stokes
He is survived by his children, Mike Stokes (Laura), Newton Stokes (Anja), Mark James (Tammy), Debbie Rainey and Sheila Sanchez; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.
Graveside services will be Saturday, 4:00 p.m. at Graceland Cemetery with Brother Tim Law officiating. Fire & Iron Motorcycle Club will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Fuller Hale South Funeral Chapel.

SLIDELL, LA. - Kimberly Dawn Wherry White, age 53, of Slidell, LA, formerly of Pine Bluff, died Sunday, January 21, 2018.

Ella Hunn Payne Ford, 89, of Pine Bluff died January 22, 2018. Born in Memphis, Tenn., February 16, 1928 to Dr. Virgil L. and Ella Hunn Howell Payne, Ella was educated in Pine Bluff, Virginia, and UA-Fayetteville. Ella was active in Trinity Episcopal Church and Pine Bluff business and cultural life for many years.
Survivors include her son, David Payne “Bubba” Ford (Janet), Hot Springs; four grandchildren; sister, Frances Russell Stark; sister-in-law, Linda Payne Osborne; nieces and nephews.
