The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 S. Main St., will host spring classes for adults. Events include:


Collage & Cork


ASC will host the adult collage art class, Collage & Cork from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 15. Under the instruction of Arkansas collage artist Michael Church, participants will create their own unique work of “narrative” collage art while having complimentary wine or beer, according to a news release. No experience is necessary.


Participants may bring a group of friends to relax, socialize, and create in a laid back collage art class.


The cost of the class is $25 for members and $35 for nonmembers. Advance registration is required and participants must be 21 years or older to attend. Space is limited.


Photography I Class


ASC will offer a photography class with Eric Maynard on Thursdays from 6-8 p.m. April 5 through May 10.


The six-week class will teach the features and functions of cameras, what the various settings are, and how to use them. Students will also go over portrait techniques and landscape photography while learning how and why to control aperture and shutter speeds. A SLR camera is recommended but not required, according to the release.


The cost of the class is $95 for ASC members and $125 for non-members due at registration. Advanced registration is required.
