The Arkansas Parole Board has recommended five Southeast Arkansas residents for pardons and rejected applications from two others. The recommendations will be sent to Governor Asa Hutchinson who will make the final decision.

Those recommended for pardons, the county of conviction and crimes convicted of were as follows:William Ashcraft, Jefferson County, terroristic threatening, disorderly conduct.Curtis Brown, Jefferson County, terroristic threatening.Richard Davis, Cleveland County, conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance crystal methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.’Natara Eans, Jefferson County, hot check law.Bruce King, Jefferson County, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance.

Those whose applications were turned down, the county of conviction and the crimes convicted of were as follows:Antonio Green, Jefferson County, theft by receiving, possession of a controlled substance, domestic battering third degree, false imprisonment in the first degree and battery second degree, battery second degree and possession of a controlled substance.James Rogers, Ashley County, possession of methamphetamine or cocaine with purpose to deliver under two grams and use or possession of paraphernalia to manufacture methamphetamine.
