The 2018 4-H Afterschool Training will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at Southside Baptist Church Family Life Center at Star City.
Child care providers, teachers, volunteers, and summer program staff who need continuing education hours or verified training hours should consider attending the event, according to a news release from the Jefferson County Cooperative Extension Service.
This training will be conducted by County Extension Agents from Desha, Drew, Jefferson, and Lincoln counties.
Five hours of Professional Development Credits will include topics such as Healthy Living - Your Body & You; Manners & Social Graces; Care Bags for the Homeless; and Maze Engineering & Coding.
Light snacks will be provided and participants are asked to bring a sack lunch.
