The Pine Bluff Faith Community Coalition Ministerial Alliance will meet from 10- 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, at Indiana Street Missionary Baptist Church, 1114 S. Indiana St.


Presenters will include the Arkansas State Coordinator Debbie Strobel with Moms in Prayer International/Praying for Schools & Children, along with Deborah Burchfield, director of Hope Women’s Resource Center, according to a news release.


The meeting’s agenda includes justice system, children and family services, healthcare/eldercare/mental health, education, economic development, violence against women and community development.


The Rev. Jesse C. Turner is president of the ministerial alliance, which is working with the city of Pine Bluff, establishing partnerships with organizations and groups to support the schools in the community, he said.


The Alliance Leadership Team includes pastors Stephen Harrison, Family Church; Barbara Douglas, St. Luke United Methodist Church; Renice L. Davis, Bethany Chapel Baptist Church; Edna Morgan, Hawley and Wesley United Methodist churches; Gary Bell, First Assembly of God Church; Steve Wingo, Lakeside United Methodist Church; and Turner, Elm Grove Baptist Church.


“The faith coalition consists of the Christian Communities of Pine Bluff whose purpose is to improve the lives of its residents,” according to the release.


Church representation is $100, clergy membership is $25.
