The Division of Military Science at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will host LTG Bruce T. Crawford as a guest speaker.


The event will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 27, in the Hathaway-Howard Fine Arts Auditorium.


Crawford is stationed at the Pentagon where he serves as the Army Chief Information Officer/G-6, according to a news release.


“LTG Crawford reports directly to the Secretary of the Army, setting strategic direction and objectives for the Army network, and supervises all Army C4 (command, control, communications, and computers) and Information Technology (IT) functions,” according to the release.


A native of Columbia, South Carolina, Crawford has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from South Carolina State University, a Master of Science degree in administration from Central Michigan University, and a Master of Science degree in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.


According to the release, all attendees at the event are encouraged to dress in business attire.


“Doors will open at 2 p.m. Faculty members are encouraged to use creative ways of inspiring students to take advantage of this opportunity and broaden their perspectives on leadership and the function of information technology in an ever-changing environment,” a spokesman said in the release.
