Pine Bluff Interested Citizens for Voter Registration Inc. will conduct its Coffee with the Chiefs from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, at First Baptist Church, 6501 S. Hazel St.


In recognition of National Mental Health Month, the scheduled speaker is Kathy Harris, president and chief executive officer of Southeast Arkansas Behavioral Healthcare System Inc. at Pine Bluff.


According to a news release, Coffee with the Chiefs provides an opportunity for law enforcement and fire safety officials to interact with clergy and others in the community to exchange information for reducing crime, arson and about other safety issues in Pine Bluff.


Pine Bluff Service Awards will also be presented. These awards recognize residents, law enforcement, fire and emergency services, city and county personnel for exceptional service to the public. “Keepers of the Faith,” area pastors, are also honored.
