The White Hall Bulldogs acknowledged 11 seniors and their manager of four years on their senior day Thursday with the Sheridan Yellowjackets in town for a matchup. The Bulldog seniors are Austin Terrell, Adam Johnston, Wes Harp, Tyler Sheridan, Zack Harbison, Dutton Day, Layne Hartsfield, Griffin Haynes, Braden Croft, Devin Koonce, Santavious Thomas and Matthew Branch
After a grand slam by Yellowjackets senior Hunter Hicks at the top of the second inning, the Bulldogs ultimately fell by a final of 6-1.
Koonce, Day, Croft, Hartsfield and Ben Bowers all got time on the mound for the Bulldogs, combining to give up eight hits. White Hall recorded seven hits, but Sheridan's defense didn't allow them to turn those into runs.
Hartsfield went out at Bulldog Stadium with a bang as he sent one over for a home run to score the lone run for the Bulldogs in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Sheridan pitchers Hadyn Finley and Dalton Domrase gave up the hits, but their guys covered behind them.
The Yellowjackets tagged up to score their final run on a sacrifice fly, and after that, the Bulldogs weren't able to rally to pull it off.
Next up is the District Tournament for the Bulldogs in Hot Springs at Lakeside High School. The date and time of the game is to be announced.
