Wanda Louise Baughman Rice, age 73 of Pine Bluff and Bryant, went to be with the Lord May 1, 2018.

Born November 22, 1944 at Pine Bluff, she was a daughter of the late Bill and Evaline Rogers Baughman.

Wanda was preceded in death by two husbands, Berry Rice, Sr. and Jim Cole; a brother, Henry Joe Baughman; and a sister, Opal Aline Baughman Holt.

She had worked as a CNA at Davis Hospital and was a private nurse at Trinity Village. She had also been a manager at Goodwill and a clerk at Kwik Corner convenience store.

Survivors include a son, Berry Lee Rice, Jr. of Pine Bluff; two daughters, Cathy Dianne Rice of Pine Bluff and Susan Lynn Rice of Benton; grandson and granddaughter, Nathaniel (JR) Sledge, III and Brittany Rice Sledge; granddaughters, Racquel (Brandon) Goudy, Brandhi Rice and Berrhi Rice; a grandson who GMA spoiled rotten, James Lee Rice; great-grandchildren, Natetiana and A’briana Sledge, Braelyn Rice and Brileigh Goudy, and Brieeze Pugh; along with a host of nieces and nephews, including two special nieces, Patricia Baughman and Cathy Jackson.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 5, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Chapel with Pastor Stephen Harrison officiating. Burial will be in White Hall Methodist Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family wants to give special thanks to the nurses and staff at Capital Health and Kindred Hospice, along with a very special thank you to Dr. Tracy Phillips and his staff for their loving care of Wanda.

Eugene Hicks

Eugene was born, November 30, 1938, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to parents Leamon and Elsie Hicks. He died May 1, 2018.

Eugene leaves to cherish his legacy of love; his wife, Martha Ann Dale-Hicks whom he loved and adored for 58 years; and their five children: Cynthia Johnson (Stephen) –Dallas, TX, Angela Yvette Hicks-Crumb (James) - Herndon, VA, Teresa Nanette Hicks – Redfield, AR, DeWayne Earl Hicks, Sr.( Barbara), Dallas, TX, and Marc Anthony Hicks ( Misty), Lancaster, TX. He was preceded in death by:

Parents: Leamon and Elsie Hicks, Siblings: Elbert Hicks, Willie Dee Gates, Annette (James) Fountain, Mattie Pearl Linnear, Lee Dorothy Hicks and Benny Hicks. But he leaves to celebrate his life, LeRoy Hicks, Shreveport LA, Leamon (Deborah) Hicks, Detroit, MI, Isaiah Hicks, Detroit, MI, and brother-in-law, Charles Linnear, Denver, CO. Eugene was also a beloved member of his wife’s family and from this family those who preceded him in death were: His mother-in-law, Lucinda Henderson, and her children Walter Henderson, Amy Hall and Vercy Clark.

Those left to remember their brother in law are Albert Henderson, Mercy Davis, Bertha Crear (Lester), Sylvia Ardiemease Moore, Bonnie R. Scott and Thelma Henderson. He was a loving PaPa to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he was absolutely proud to love: Kendra Tene’ Barron ( LaShawn and Blake; Darrius Eugene Hicks, TamYa N. Hicks, Eithan Sr., Eihan Resse, Reniqua Jones, Lawyer Jones, DeWayne E. Hicks, Jr., Christian D. Hicks. He also has a SLEW of nieces and nephews; and bundles of adopted children whom he so dearly loved. Eugene retired from the city of Dallas Landfill. He was a faithful servant and Deacon at the Oak Grove MBC in Dallas, TX.

He loved to talk and never met a stranger. His smile was offered and his heart was warm, wise and compassionate. The bible says THE STEPS OF A GOOD MAN are ordered by the Lord. You can ask just about anyone and they will tell you “Eugene was indeed a GOOD MAN!”

May 5 — Funeral Service will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, at the FRIENDSHIP MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH.

Marvin Moyer, 57 passed away on April 30, 2018 in Pine Bluff, AR. He was born on June 29, 1960 in Pine Bluff, AR. to Theon and Louise Moyer. He was an usher for the Pleasant View Ministries Church. He loved his family very much. He was proceeded in death by his mother Louise Louden.

He is survived by daughter Porsche Moyer of Miami, FL. and grandchildren John and Nisiya Lonon and his father Theon Moyer, sister Karen Moyer.

Moro - Girline Cole was born May 27, 1927, in Moro, Arkansas. Her parents were the late Julius and Ada Virginia Cole.

On Sunday, April 22, 2018, Girline departed this life.
