The Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics 2018 will be making it's arrival through Hope on Monday May 21.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics 2018 will be making it's arrival through Hope on Monday May 21. At Noon, the athletes will meet in Texarkana with Police Department as the torch makes it's journey to Hope to arrive in city limits from 1:50-2 p.m.

The route continues at 2:15 p.m. to arrive at Patti Manus Administration Building off 500 South Main Street with City of Hope and Hempstead County officers to hand off the torch to the Arkansas State Police. At 2:30 p.m., the torch will leave ROC en route to Prescott Nevada County Recycle Center located at 314 East 2nd Street. The 2018 State Olympics is scheduled to begin with opening ceremonies in Searcy on May 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Harding University.

For tradition, as the torch makes it's way to Hope, the community is requested to line the streets of Highway 67 and Main Streets to cheer on the athletes and the Local Law Enforcement Officers.
