WARREN — The annual Bradley County Memorial Day program will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 28, at the Veterans Monument on the courthouse square at Warren.

The event will include the annual “Wreath Laying” ceremony sponsored by the Bradley County Veterans. The community is invited to attend, according to a news release.

The speaker will be Carol Nichols, regent of the Captain Robert Abernethy Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). R. DeWayne Banks will sing the National Anthem and lead the audience in singing other patriotic songs.

“Please bring your lawn chair for the approximately 40 minute program,” a spokesman said. “Everyone is urged to attend the Memorial Day ceremony honoring those who gave their life to defend the freedoms we all enjoy in this great country.”

In case of rain, the alternate location is the Bradley County Veterans Museum, 210 N. Main St., Warren.
