Charleston Girley from Pine Bluff recently published his first book, The Black Accountant.


“This book is a testament of how Charleston used the adversity he encountered in his life to find his purpose and higher calling in an effort to live his best life,” according to a news release.


The head accountant for Nitrogen Solutions at Jonesboro, Girley is the son of Charles and Pamela Girley of Pine Bluff.


Girley is a 2011 Dollarway High School honor graduate. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and Master of Business Administration degree from Arkansas State University at Jonesboro, according to the release.


He walked on to the ASU football team in 2011 and earned a full scholarship in 2013. He also won four Sunbelt Conference Championships and has been to four bowl games, according to the release. Girley is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.
