The Pine Bluff City Council will have a brief agenda when it meets at 5:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall.
First up is an ordinance to dissolve the Sewer Improvement District No. 39, which will be read for the third time and voted on by aldermen. The ordinance says that District No. 39 has “fulfilled all of its purposes.”
It was established “for the purpose of constructing a system of sewers for use of the inhabitants by the district,” the ordinance says. Further, the district “has satisfied in full all debt obligations incurred by it with the Arkansas Development Finance Authority, proof of payment is filed of record with the City Clerk on November 2, 2016.”
The ordinance also proposes to relieve the last remaining commissioner of District No. 39, Norman “Buddy” Jacks, of “all duties and obligations as Commissioner(s) immediately upon the District’s completion of the winding up of remaining reports … .”
There are two resolutions on Monday’s agenda. One asks for the appointment of Michael Allen Wilson to the Advertising and Promotion Commission. The other asks aldermen to declare “certain houses, buildings and/or structures as nuisances and ordering their abatement.”
