The Grace Willing Workers meeting is held at the White Hall Muesem on the second Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m.

At the meeting May 9, Vice President Diana Maxwell welcomed eight members and one special guest, Kaylee Misho.

The thought for the day was read by Sabrina Self. The Homemaker’s Creed was led by Marynell Cardin. Dot Hart read the handy hint.

The roll was called by answering the question: Does your family have a meeting place for after a fire or tornado?

Last month’s minutes were read and approved. The treasurer’s report was filed for audit.

Cardin presented the program, “After a disaster…What is Next?” This program had a special significance due to the recent total loss of an Extension Homemaker Club member’s home by fire, a spokeswoman said in a news release.

In special leader reports, Self asked for Valentine photos which were furnished that day.

Hart announced that the Kiwanis Club would be collecting items for their community baby shower, with all donations going to the Hope Women’s Resource Center. The event was held at two Super 1 stores on May 12 and Hart said it would be great if members could help with the collection.

Cardin announced that no one wanted to participate in the market days at Tractor Supply. Hart reminded everyone to leave food for the mail carriers May 12 for the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive and the club collected $20 for the Hope Women’s Resource Center.

During old and new business, Hart reminded the club about their fundraiser June 2 at the Farmer’s Market.

A motion was made and seconded to attend the hummingbird banding on June 16. Everyone is to bring a sack lunch.

The vice president closed the meeting by leading the Homemaker’s Prayer.
