FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture will showcase the latest innovations and methods in turfgrass management during its annual Turfgrass Field Day on July 25.

The field day will take place at the Arkansas Agricultural Research and Extension Center at Fayetteville. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the field day will conclude by 3 p.m.

Mike Richardson, horticulture professor at the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture and the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences, organizes the event.

“The Turfgrass Field Day will provide industry professionals the opportunity to see the latest research results from the turfgrass team, in addition to seeing new equipment demonstrations that could be useful in their business,” Richardson said. “The event is also a great opportunity to network with vendors and other turfgrass professionals around the region. Field tours will be geared to either golf course management, lawncare professionals, or sports field managers.”

Richardson said he looks forward to these turfgrass field days every year.

“We certainly hope for a great turnout,” he said, “This event is always a lot of fun and hopefully educational for everyone involved.”
