Indigo Blue Coffeehouse, 212 W. Barraque St., will sponsor a Community Book Exchange, Swap and Read-In from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at Barraque Park at the intersection of Barraque at Pine streets in downtown Pine Bluff.
The event is free and open to the public and will allow book owners a chance to exchange their old books with other book owners.
Participants must check in at the coffeehouse by 10:30 a.m. and be set up by 11 a.m. Participants will be required to sign an agreement stating that they will follow the rules established by the city of Pine Bluff for use of the park. No electricity is available, according to a news release.
Participants must clean up their area and remove all items before leaving. No books or other items should be left in the park. Indigo Blue will not accept donations from swappers. Indigo Blue encourages all participants to bring books that are clean and in good condition, according to the release.
The Read-In will be at the coffeehouse at various times during the day. It will be an opportunity for authors to share their work. Authors are encouraged to bring copies of their books for sale.
