Dollarway School District hosted its first Parent Success Fair to show parents that the district is not only a place for children to learn, but that parents can also benefit from district programs and resources, according to a news release.

The recent program offered parents the opportunity to apply for jobs and discuss career options with vendors. They also got a first look at the Dollarway Family Engagement Center, which will serve as a community hub for sharing information and hosting workshops beneficial to parents, according to the release.

Vendors included Liberty Utilities, Arkansas Workforce Services, Wal-Mart and Express Employment.

“It was a great evening and childcare was provided for parents with small children and staffed by district employees,” a spokesman said. “Dollarway would like to thank the community and vendors for their wonderful support.”
