Deacue Fields, new dean of the University of Arkansas Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences, and candidates for state offices are scheduled to visit the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.


The meeting will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, at the conference room of the 1890 Extension Building at UAPB. A tour will follow the session, according to a news release from the Arkansas Farm Bureau.


Candidates for the state’s constitutional offices are scheduled to attend and address Farm Bureau members. Also, candidates for the 2nd Congressional District, Arkansas Supreme Court and Court of Appeals were invited.


The Arkansas Farm Bureau Federation and U of A Bumpers College are meeting as part of the new dean’s tour of Southeast Arkansas, according to a news release.


“Deacue Fields, newly installed as dean of the University of Arkansas Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences, will be touring Southeastern Arkansas in an effort to understand needs of farmers in the region,” according to the release.
