The Pine Bluff Regional Chamber of Commerce is still accepting nominations for the 2018-2019 Leadership Pine Bluff class.
The Leadership Pine Bluff program is for individuals who want to make a difference in the community, according to the Chamber’s website.
“This issues-oriented program broadens participants’ perspectives, examines community issues, expands opportunities to develop friendships from all segments of the community and strengthens leadership skills. Selected participants have a unique opportunity to work with area CEOs, professionals, elected officials and other fellow leaders as they study leadership techniques and community issues,” according to the website.
The class meets once a month for nine day-long sessions. These sessions offer first-hand information on community issues, including a history of area leadership, local government, law enforcement, economic development, health and human services, state government and education. Leaders in their fields conduct the sessions.
A formal application will be sent to the applicant upon receipt of a completed nomination form or forms may be picked up at the Chamber at 510 Main St.
The deadline for application to the class is Friday, Aug. 10. Details: Nancy McNew, director of the Chamber and Leadership Pine Bluff, 870-535-0110 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
