Coffee with the Chiefs will be held from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, in the welcome room at Southeast Arkansas College, 1900 S. Hazel St.

Pine Bluff Interested Citizens for Voter Registration Inc. sponsors the monthly community program.

The scheduled speaker is Tori Reap, marketing and training specialist of Voices for Children. Also, the Jefferson County Election Commission will make a special presentation at the meeting, according to a news release.

“Coffee with the Chiefs provides an opportunity for members of law enforcement and fire safety officials to interact and connect specifically with clergy members, community leaders, organizations and residents to exchange information and ideas for reducing crime, arson and other safety issues in Pine Bluff,” according to the release.

“Clergy members are invited to attend because of their position and ability to share information with their congregations. Pine Bluff Service Awards are presented, which recognize residents, law enforcement, fire and emergency services, city and county personnel for exceptional service provided to the public,” according to the release.

Service award nomination applications are available by calling 870-730-1131 by the 15th of each month.
