The Southeast Arkansas Human Resources and Safety Committee will sponsor a Safety First seminar from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 31. The event will be held in the McGeorge Hall Seminar Room at Southeast Arkansas College.
“The purpose of the program is to promote hazard recognition in the workplace, thereby reducing employee injuries and illnesses,” according to a news release from Wanda C. Lindsey, director of the SEARK Workforce Development Center.
Material will be geared toward representatives of safety committees, employees learning about safety, public agencies, or anyone interested in maintaining a safe and healthful workplace, according to the release.
The registration fee is $25 and covers lunch and materials. Participants are urged to pre-register as seating is limited.
