Eudora Missionary Baptist Church, 9405 Middle Warren Road, has chosen a new pastor, the Rev. Joseph Westbrook.

The church invites the community to celebrate and fellowship with them on Sundays beginning with Sunday School at 10 a.m. and worship services at 11 a.m.

Westbrook’s focus is his family and the spreading of the gospel, according to a news release.

Born in Little Rock in 1975, the pastor is the son of Adrianne and Joseph Westbrook IV. After graduating from Little Rock Hall High School, he moved to Memphis and attended LeMoyne-Owen College where he studied biology with a minor in education, according to the release.

In 1998, he moved back to Little Rock and was married to LaLeata May-Westbrook on Jan. 2, 1999. They have three children, Malachi, Michael and Cassia.

“Joseph was raised with a foundation built on faith,” according to the release. “Joseph was baptized as a member of New Light Missionary Baptist Church in December of 1998 and accepted the call to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in October of 2000. Under the guidance of Pastor Harold B. Betton, MD, PhD, Joseph preached his first sermon in January of 2001 and was ordained as a minister under Pastor Betton in May of 2007.”

“Joseph has been a member of New Light and an associate minister there ever since, teaching and preaching the Word of God at every opportunity presented to him,” according to the release.

Eudora Missionary Baptist Church is proud to have the Westbrook family join them, according to the release.
