The Watson Chapel Wildcats travel down the road to face the Monticello Billies in a non-conference regular season game on Friday night.

Watson Chapel opened up the season against Nashville last Monday at War Memorial. Unfortunately, turnovers were costly for the Wildcats as the came up short 28-22.

Watson Chapel led Nashville by one point at halftime last week but turned the ball over six times (four fumbles, two interceptions) and gave up seven sacks in the six-point setback.

However, junior quarterback Devin Curry went 13 for 22 passing with 181 yards and 3 touchdowns. Curry also led on the ground with 129 yards rushing on 21 carries.

Damarione Woodson and Javeon Jackson recorded 64 and 42 yards receiving, respectively. Both scored a touchdown as well.

Kevin Compton had two interceptions, and Jackson had an interception for the Wildcats last week.

Monticello gave up 47 points in its preseason scrimmage against Camden Fairview.

The game between the Billies and the Wildcats will begin at 7 p.m.
