The White Hall Bulldogs open up the season against the Dumas Bobcats on Friday. Last season, the Bulldogs went 7-3 before losing in the first round of the playoffs to Alma.

Josh Looney anticipates to be the starting quarterback for White Hall. The Bulldogs lost senior Ollie Reddick at the quarterback position and Looney looks to fill the shoes.

Donte Buckner will start at tailback for the Bulldogs after breaking off for a 68-yard touchdown run against Malvern in a scrimmage last week. Also in the scrimmage, Looney hit Baylor Owen for a 53-yard touchdown pass.

Defensively, the Bulldogs secondary standouts are Deshawn Buckner and Tre'Don Marks, who will both be playing cornerback.

With this being the third meeting between the two teams, White Hall has dumped Dumas the past two years by a total of 55 points.

Dumas will host White Hall at 7 p.m.
